The HPE ML150 Tower Server has the ability to have three different drive configurations. Each chassis is setup for each configuration starting with the Non-Hot-Plug 4 Bay Chassis. This Non-Hot-Plug Ml150 Chassis can be upgraded to have 8 Non-Hot-Plug drives installed with the installation of a second Non-hot-plug drive cage (792353-001). This configuration is the only one to support the HP ML150 Gen9 9/10LFF Drive Enablement Kit (788567-B21).
The Second Drive Configuration is the 4 Bay LFF Hot-Plug ML150 Tower Server. This Tower Server come with supports up to 4 LFF drives but can have up to 8 LFF SAS/SATA Drives with the installation of the second HP ML150 Gen9 4LFF Hot Plug Drive Cage (725872-B21 - 792351-001). This Chassis is different from the Non-Hot-Plug because it uses (1) HP H240 12Gb 2-ports Int Smart Host Bus Adapter (726907-B21). This controller needs (1) HP ML150 Gen9 Mini SAS H240 Cable Kit (784606-B21) per 4 LFF Drive Cage. So if you install the optional Second Drive Cage to make the ML150 a total of 8 LFF Drives. Then you'll need to install (2) HP ML150 Gen9 Mini SAS H240 Cable Kit (784606-B21). One cable kit per Drive Cage.
NOTE: Must be selected for H240 controller.
NOTE: If H240 is the primary controller and if HPE Mfg FIO Enable HBA Mode Setting is selected, then RAID is not allowed.
This 5U 2 Socket Tower Server by HPE can have 1 or 2 CPU's installed. The main difference between these two setup is the Cooling Architecture. In a 1 Socket system there are (2) Fans (792347-001) cooling the system. The second fan has spacer which are removed when installing a 2 Socket system which needs (3) Fans (792347-001) for cooling.
NOTE: Recommend to select 900W for 2P config.
With 7 PCI Slots 1 of which is a dedicated iLO slot. So really we only have 6 PCI- 3.0 usable slots on this ML150 Tower Server by HPE. Two PCIe 3.0 x16 (x16 speed) and Four PCIe 3.0 x 8 (x8 speed). The server supports up to two full-length, single-width GPUs. If one processor is installed, the GPU must be installed in PCIe slot 5. To install a GPU in PCIe slot 3, a second processor is required. Now to finish the installing of the full-length GPUs you'll need the HP ML150 Gen9 GPU Enablement Kit (779863-B21).

This ML150 Server comes with a power 550W Non Redundant Power Supply Unit (PSU) (766879-001). You also have the option of a of two different Redundant Power Supply Models.
The first Redundant Power Supply Model is the HPE RPS backplane (784636-001) that holds ONLY the HPE 800 W/900 W Gold AC Power Input Module (754376-001).
