Mopane Knife Scales

Mopane's heartwood is medium to dark reddish brown, with black stripes. Color tends to darken with age. Well-defined sapwood is a pale yellow. Grain is usually interlocked. Fine uniform texture with a moderate natural luster. Extremely dense.

Sanded to 100 grit and buffed with Beal Buffing System using Triple E and White Diamond. This picture is just for reference as to what these blanks look like finished. Freshly worked and buffed.

These sides have been exposed to the sun for a moderate period of time and thus shows its aged color.
